Why Re-elect Kelvin Garcia?
For years, Kelvin Garcia has proudly served the Herndon community with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to delivering results. As a current member of the Herndon Town Council, he has worked to strengthen public safety, support local businesses, encourage responsible growth, and ensure every resident has a voice in shaping Herndon's future.
Before serving on the Town Council, Kelvin built a career dedicated to public service. He served as a Metropolitan Police Department officer and later as a Traffic Judge in Washington, D.C., experiences that shaped his commitment to fairness, accountability, and community safety. He also earned a Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia, a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University.
Outside of Town Hall, Kelvin continues to invest in the next generation. As a girls' basketball coach at South Lakes High School and founder of a Youth Advisory Committee, he mentors young leaders and encourages civic engagement throughout the community. Fluent in Spanish, Kelvin is committed to building an inclusive Herndon where every resident feels welcomed, heard, and represented.
Now, he's ready to continue the work.

Investing in Our Youth
Kelvin believes that investing in young people is one of the best investments a community can make. As a girls' basketball coach at South Lakes High School and founder of the Youth Advisory Committee, he has helped students develop leadership, confidence, and a passion for community service. By mentoring the next generation and encouraging civic engagement, Kelvin is helping prepare future leaders who will continue making Herndon a stronger community for years to come.

Working towards providing affordable housing solutions to address the housing needs of all members of the community. Our goal is to create diverse and inclusive living environment for everyone.

As a council member, I will advocate for policies that encourage the construction of affordable housing units and protect renters from predatory practices. " To ensure long-term growth, we must invest in local businesses and create job opportunities. I will work to attract new businesses to Herndon and to support initiatives that foster entrepreneurship particularly among underrespresentred groups. A stronger economy will benefit us all by generating revenue for better schools, public services, and infrastructure.
